One and Only Burgers and Fries

7/13/2026 - This was our second visit to One and Only Burgers. I ordered a double Cheesyburger with bacon, pineapple, jalapenos, and mushrooms. My wife ordered a Cheesyburger with grilled onions, and we ordered a small fry and a Chili Cheese Hot Dog to share. Oh boy this Cheesyburger is better than 5 Guys!!! Even the Fries are better!! All in all, I recommend One and Only Burgers for yhe food and the way decent prices. (Photos from our first visit)

Delicious burgers and amazing hand cut French fries! I really like all the toppings offered to add to your burger. Food tastes great and clean casual dining room. We only just found this place after living in the adjacent area for about 4yrs so I'd call this a nice neighborhood secret! Check it out of you love a good burger!!

Usually when people say that portions are generous, they really aren't. Well, dang. First time I was proven wrong. Let's start from the beginning. I ordered my cheeseburger which was $7.25, and proceeded to add an endless amount of ingredients...FOR FREE!!!! You name it, grilled pineapples, avocados, lettuce, tomatoes, whatever is on the ingredient list, you can add as many as you want at no extra charge. The burger wasn't some tiny burger either, it was actually a good size. But then, the hand cut fries. The largest size is called "The Large is Humongous" I asked the employee up front how many people the large size feeds and she said 5 people. I took it as an exaggeration, but no it wasn't! For $5.95, you got the equivalent of 10 orders of Large fries from McDonald's! It was INSANE! The photo and video don't do justice to how many fries it actually was. This was the first time in my life, that I barely finished an order of burger and fries... The fries were also good, but I prefer a little crisper. Update: I came back and ate here again, and while ordering I told the cashier about the fries being soggy last time I came. She suggested to order them “Crispy” to get the texture I was looking for. Did that, as well as ordering them “Zesty” and wow did that change the experience. As I said in my original review, had the fries been crispy it would be a 5 star review… so I have updated my review to 5 stars! Thanks so much to the cashier for the suggestion. Definitely a game changer! Original review: The burger was great as always, and I love all the free toppings that you have available, including avocado, grilled mushrooms, onions, grilled pineapple, etc. The fries were really tasty but a little soft for my liking. I think if the fries were cooked a little longer and were actually crispy, they would’ve been perfect, and this definitely would’ve been five star review.

Had a recent lunch here. They are located at 380 and Hwy 5 in McKinney. Very unassuming place and older strip center. They do have indoor seating with some outdoor as well. Your order at the counter and they bring you your food. My order was for takeout. I had the bacon double cheeseburger double patty with fries crispy. Their normal fries are not crispy at all but very tasty. They give you a boatload as well. The photo with the fries is only 1/2 of what they gave me. Word of warning they just dump the fries into your paper bag directly. If you are getting to go the grease will eventually go through your bag. The burger was a good portion and very tasty and well cooked. This is not a gourmet burger, but an old fashioned diner type burger. They have a couple of sandwiches and hot dogs as well to offer. I stick with the burger. They can get very busy so keep that in mind.
